Self-hosted

Buglapse on your own server

Everything the cloud does, while errors, logs, traces and session recordings stay inside your infrastructure. Installing is one command, so is upgrading — and no events are lost while it runs.

Beta

No key needed up front: the installer issues a 30-day trial license itself.

terminal
curl -fsSL https://app.buglapse.com/api/self-hosted/install.sh | sudo bash

What the installer does

  • Checks the server and runs everything in Docker Compose
  • Gets a Let’s Encrypt certificate for your domain
  • Issues a trial license with a code sent by email
  • Creates the first admin and the organization

Self-hosted is in beta

The features are the same as in the cloud; installs and upgrades are what we are still breaking in on different servers. Try it on a test machine before production and set up regular backups — the script dumps the database before every upgrade on its own. If something goes wrong, write to us and we will sort it out.

Your data on your hardware

  • Data stays inside

PostgreSQL, Redis and session recordings live on your server or in your S3. The instance only calls us for license renewals and new version images — and can do without both.

  • Everything the cloud has

Errors, logs, traces, release health, replays, uptime, Autofix and MCP — with no monthly quotas. Disk space decides how long data is kept.

  • Upgrades without losing events

The new version starts next to the old one and the proxy switches over without dropping connections. SDKs keep sending events — they wait in a queue.

  • Rollback when things go wrong

A database dump before every upgrade. A failure at any step rolls everything back on its own and the old version keeps running. Restoring and moving to another server are script commands too.

  • Works offline

In an isolated network images are loaded by hand or from your own registry mirror, and a new license key is installed from the panel.

  • The same SDKs and Sentry SDKs

Browser and Node.js connect exactly as in the cloud, with the DSN, CDN script and npm registry on your domain. Apps on Sentry SDKs move over by changing the DSN.

Installation

What the server needs

The installer checks all of this itself before downloading anything.

OS
Linux with Docker Engine and Docker Compose v2
Architecture
x86_64 or arm64
Memory
1 GB minimum (with swap), 2 GB recommended
CPU
1 core, 2 for a steady stream of events
Disk
5 GB minimum, 10 GB recommended for events and backups
Network
Ports 80 and 443 free
Domain
An A record pointing at the server, e.g. errors.example.com

Try it on your own machine — on localhost

How it differs from the cloud

One organization

The installer creates it; everyone else joins by invitation. By default only invited addresses can sign up.

No plans or quotas

The license includes every feature with no monthly limits and unlimited retention.

Your address everywhere

Project DSNs, the CDN script and the SDK npm registry are on your domain. Every SDK install guide works the same way.

Your own integrations

You connect your own GitHub App, mail, Telegram and MAX bots and the AI provider for Autofix.

Administration in the panel

Admins get users, instance settings, the license and system status — including a notice when a new version is out.

License

One license, one instance

The key is bound to the instance’s domain and gives access to the Buglapse images. Any domain’s key works for an install on localhost.

  1. 1

    30 days free

A trial license comes from the installer or from the Self-hosted page of your Buglapse account — instantly, no request needed.

  2. 2

    Renews itself

Once a day the instance checks for a newer key and installs it. Nothing to do on the server after a renewal.

  3. 3

    Purchase on request

There is no online payment yet: write to us and we will discuss the license and extend the key.

Common questions

or email hello@buglapse.com

What does “beta” mean?
The features are the same as in the cloud. Beta is about installs and upgrades: we are still gathering experience across servers and setups. Keep backups and report problems to hello@buglapse.com.
How much is a license?
The first 30 days are free. Write to hello@buglapse.com and we will quote a price. There is no online payment yet.
Cloud or self-hosted?
Cloud if you would rather not run a server: start free in a couple of minutes, with data stored in Moscow. Self-hosted if data must not leave your infrastructure or you need to run in a closed network.
Can I try it without a server?
Yes: install it on your machine with the domain localhost — Buglapse runs over plain http, and a trial key for any domain works for it.
Does it work in a closed network?
Yes. Images are loaded onto the server by hand or from your registry mirror, automatic renewal is turned off, and a new key is installed in the panel before the current one expires.
What happens when the license expires?
Everything keeps working for 14 more days while the panel shows a banner with the cutoff date. After that new events are no longer accepted, but the panel, API, MCP and all data stay available — nothing is deleted. A new key resumes ingestion.
